Hillary supporter Wolf Blitzer gloating about Clinton voting No; Obama voting Yes
Is this really the headline story from today that he had to lead off the Situation Room with this.

It was quite clear through the Primary season he was in the tank for Hillary.

22. What's "baloney"?
That Leslie Blitzer was a Hillary Supporter all along?

Some people just can't hide their Hillary shilling, no matter what they may say to the contrary.

2. I said a while ago that she'd be smart to vote no
To give the media stories like this and give some of Obama's activist supporters a little heartburn. I applaud her for her vote but if she were the nominee I doubt she would have voted the same way.

23. I agree, but in fairness, Obama brought this on himself by voting the wrong way
I think she voted against it for all the wrong reasons: to undermine Obama, create media attention to the division, hopefully give some of Obama's activist supporters a bit of buyers' remorse (does she think we're that stupid?) But at the end of the day, she voted the right way, and Obama didn't. I am not going to knock her for casting the right vote even if it was for the wrong reasons.

30. You have no idea what her reasons were
You're just putting the most disgusting spin on it you can (as if that makes up for Sen Obama's obvious pandering). We all know Hillary voted the correct way but apparently she's only one not allowed to vote her conscience and should have either voted wrong or not at all just to make Sen Obama's life easier.

14. Why did he have to vote Yes? He could have voted NO and it would have passed anyway
This is no doubt why Clinton voted No...because she knew it would pass without her Yes vote.

18. I think this will end up hurting him MORE than a yes vote..
That may be his rationale, but he only ended up 1. alienating a significant element in his base, 2. contributing more fodder to the "flip=flopper" narrative that they are already using against him and 3. casting a terrible vote that no one here seems to be able to defend on principle.

Bad move. Self-defeating move.

It is like his TRYING to emulate Kerry's mistakes.

13. Where was she during the BK Reform Vote and the Iraq Vote?
We all know about the Iraq vote that Hillary supported to burnish her National Security credentials. There is also the BK reform Vote:

*** UPDATE *** The Clinton campaign tells us the reason Hillary Clinton missed the vote was because it was the day Bill Clinton was having heart surgery.

*** UPDATE 2*** The Obama campaign points out there were two votes, one of which Clinton was present for an voted for, as mentioned during the debate. The campaign passes on all of the following:

RUSSERT: Senator Clinton, you voted for the same 2001 bankruptcy bill that Senator Edwards just said he was wrong about. After you did that, the Consumer Federation of America said that your reversal on that bill, voting for it, was the death knell for the opponents of the bill. Do you regret that vote?

CLINTON: Sure I do, but it never became law, as you know. It got tied up. It was a bill that had some things I agreed with and other things I didn't agree with, and I was happy that it never became law. I opposed the 2005 bill as well.

2001 BANKRUPTCY BILL
IN 1998, CLINTON WAS FIRMLY AGAINST BANKRUPTCY BILL…
1998: Clinton “Sounded The Alarm” To Issue A Veto Threat On Bankruptcy Legislation. In 1998, when bankruptcy legislation “was close to final approval on Capitol Hill, the first lady sounded the alarm inside the White House and a veto threat from the president stopped it cold.”

DECEMBER 2000: Bill Clinton Vetoed Bankruptcy Bill. President Clinton vetoed legislation “that proposed the most sweeping changes in the bankruptcy law in 20 years because he said it was unfair to ordinary debtors and working families who fall on hard times.” Clinton favored revamping the bankruptcy laws but thought the bill was not even handed.

1999-2000: Clinton Received Almost $210K From Finance/Credit Companies, Credit Unions And Commercial Banks During Her Senate Campaign. In Clinton’s 1999-2000 Senate campaign she received $13,600 from finance and credit companies, $5,475 from credit unions and $191,260 from commercial banks.

Banks, Credit Card Companies And Credit Unions Led The Fight To Pass The Bankruptcy Bill. Banks, credit card companies and credit unions led the drive to rewrite the nation’s bankruptcy laws and pass the 2001 bankruptcy bill. [Center for Responsive Politics, “Bankruptcy,” accessed: 7/26/07

38. No surprise at all that the MSM would find a way to make hay of this
...and while no one can know Hillary's motivation, while she seems to be the talk of the day, I can certainly believe she engaged in some knife-twisting at Obama's expense. She probably knew full well it was going to pass, so she had nothing to lose by voting against it.

And lo and behold, look at the "Look how Hillary voted!" threads that popped up today just to compare and contrast to Obama - in other words, stir the shit. Just like Wolfie.
