Quick, get to hear your own emails on CNN
on how Obama is SUCH a dissapointment and that you will become an independent after voting democrat since the great flood - that you feel sooooooo hurt and stomped on by his ultra right wing switcheroo.

that;s a bit of a clue to those who are 'ahem' a bit overzealous in the criticisms.

IF CNN AGREES WITH YOU, THEN YOU'RE DEAD FUCKING WRONG.

1. I view it as a no win situation for Obama, but that doesn't mean I approve of the vote.

Had he voted against it the corporate media would trashed him for being soft on "terror".

Had he voted for it, as he did, the corporate media will trash him because he's differing from much of his constituency.

I have no doubt anything he does they will use against him, but that in itself doesn't make the corporate media wrong on a particular issue or the people believing that the Democrats have let Cheney/Bush get away with trashing the Constitution, while turning in to an oppressive Big Brother government intent on eliminating our privacy. If I say it's raining because I got wet from being rained on outside and CNN says it's raining, that doesn't make them or me wrong even if they're happy about it.

Furthermore I believe it was a political mistake for the upcoming election as this neutralizes to some degree an adverse liability held by the Republicans; supposedly the party of less government, that's why Bob Barr was breaking off to the Libertarian Party.

3. I dont think it's about FISA so much anynore.
For such an important vote and for the how many years we have been shaking our fists and screaming at what bush has done I don't for a second think less of anyone who makes a reasonable case at to why they think Obama made the wrong decision on this. There are a lot of people here that are wizbang smart and I pay attention - if they say he's wrong about it i will certainly take a serious look at it again.

i'm talking about hte people, that no matter what Obama does, or where he does it, what he says or how he said it - will jump all over his bones like FUCKING CNN DOES.
