If you want to point fingers and bitch, why not point them at Spineless Harry Reid? |
|
As Senate Majority Leader, he alone had the power to pocket this piece of shit FISA bill and not bring it up for a vote at all.
Why didn't he do exactly that?
Blame that spineless coward. And pray to whatever deity you believe in that the Senate has at least enough good sense to make sure his worthless ass is not in that chair in January.

1. Yeah. Time to replace him with either Kennedy or Clinton |

assuming she continues her new found rebellion.

He has let a lot of shit slide through that he should have stopped cold.

3. Question if Obama becomes president can he get rid of Harry Reid? If so, then I want Pres. Obama. |

6. We need a REAL majority with REAL Democrats in charge in both houses |
|
So they can write progressive legislation which then can be signed by President Obama. Reid has to go. As does Jellyfish Pelosi.

5. Not to say anything contrary to the avalanche here, but he worked the Medicare bill brilliantly. |
|
I know, I know, it's only multiple tens of millions of average and lower income citizens who will benefit with retained and expanded health care tonight, but I thought I might mention that this was maybe the best job he has done on anything as majority leader.
Not that it matters, that health care stuff and all that Ted Kennedy only felt important enough to show up for. Fuck that shit; we aren't here at DU for applauding making a difference like that.

9. I didn't follow the proceedings but I take your word that he did a good job. |
|
However, Medicare is pretty much a no-brainer for Democrats.

7. Damn straight! Obama is NOT the Senate Majority Leader. |
|
He's the junior Senator from Illinois, Presidential candidate or no. He does not, whether people want to believe it or not, dictate Senate proceedings.

Reid (and Pelosi) have largely been failures in their leadership roles.

10. Indeed. Our entire House and Senate leadership failed us. |
|
They should have never let this bill hit the floor. Along with many other white house sponsored bills, this one should have been labeled "shove it up your ass, George," and sent back to the White House.
