I will hold my nose and vote for Obama come November but ...... |
|
I will ride him like a rented mule once he is office because the election will then be over. He has no fears of 527's. I won't have to listen about them being the reason he voted for FISA or changed his mind on public financing. He will be the deciderer. He could order the troops home.
Health care, economy, and infrastructure....he has to deal with the Legislative branch, which we should OWN.
I will vote for this piece of work in November.
But I refuse to listen to the Obaptized in the koolaides talk about change, hope and audacity. I saw audacity today. He had better change once he is in office or I hope he can find another job in 2012. He is not change today, he is just a politician. Where have I heard that before?
I hate to even say it....in November, the party gets my vote, not the candidate.

3. I believe in the system and have worked the polls for over 25 years. You are asking a lot. |
|
This really pisses me off. I have been looking at the good points of Obama's platform since Hillary quit. I was especially drawn to public financing of campaigns. BOOM!!! gone. The immunity was one of the other shining stars.
I never supported him in the primaries but I was trying to make lemonade. I was trying to talk myself into the idea that it isn't that bad. I hit a big speedbump today. As I stated earlier I will vote for the party but I really can't see voting for the candidate. I will not vote for him in 2012 if he doesn't prove me wrong that he is just another politician telling people what they want to hear.
I am not an easy person to convince that I didn't see what I saw or heard what I hear.

7. Like I said, I understand where you're coming from...I did the same in 2004. |
|
I saw two choices in 2004. Vote for the lesser of two evils or work to burn the whole system to the ground in the hope that we'd get politicians who actually represented us at some point in the future.
I wasn't happy with my choices, but I voted for the lesser of the evils...and he lost.
I still feel better about voting for Kerry than doing something else.

15. Ethics reform his thing. Public financing leaves us vulnerable like in 2004 |
|
The RNC has more money, and they are giving now back door to the states through Governors. 527s, which Mccain wouldn't and probably couldn't control meant we had to do better than leaving us vulnerable in the general. Want to win?
The Swiftboats were gotten rid of that Spring, 2004, but came back financed in August, with a book. That same publisher has an Obama book coming out, also lies like the Swifties.
Just saying.

16. Obama didn't know about 527's when he proposed this? That is the whole idea. |
|
Fuck the 527's. They were created by the McCain-Feingold act. They can also be disappeared.
That is what I thought Obama was going to do to the loudmouth McCain, that created the freaking bill. As my sainted mother once said during a football game..."rip his leg off and beat him to death with the bloody stump."

6. The other current theme is that change will be very slow, more like |
|
movement toward change. It's pure rationalization.

20. Assume it will be an improvement - and feel good about that - |
|
and, depending on how much (improvement), assume that there might be a primary challenge.

5. Obama is doing something unusual with all the partisanship, mixing it up, and being strategic. |
|
He will fix the FISA abuse and others.
This hold the nose thing reminds me of the 2004 IWR, which wasn't a vote for war, but people just couldn't get past that vote to talk up Kerry, who was/is the premier open government prosecutor of our time, and ahead on the terrorism. Couldn't find soemthing to recommend to friends and associates. So busy blaming Kerry for the war, which he objected to, loudly, in March 2003, and beyond. People just would rather blame just Kerry, and not Bush. So we got Bush. Let's learn from very recent history and not get McCain.

8. So he will close the barn door and not chase the horses. OK. I get it. |
|
He will fix the FISA abuse??? That is nice. I put new locks on my door after the robbery but I still wanted to catch the dirty bastards and send them to jail.

10. No, I don't believe he will "fix" FISA. |
|
I don't believe he will be a Progressive president, I don't believe he will support the Constitution any more than he has to this point. I don't believe he will "change" anything.
The only thing I believe is that McCain is worse.
