Question for those "upset" at Obama: Outside of FISA* what position do you feel he flip flopped on?
Edited on Thu Jul-10-08 10:27 AM by uponit7771
I'd like to know what positions FROM HIS WEBSITE that you feel he went back on, please be as specific as possible.

For me, I've read his positions before I decided to support him and on the major issues surrounding this election season (Iraq, Health Care, economy, immigration, supreme court), he has not veered more than 5% out of what he's been saying all along but that's just me. I set my expectations for him to be a person that's going to change SOMETHING in Washington for the better and I feels he's already done that with internet donations.

Thank you for your input.

*I'm giving Obama the slightest bit of room on FISA, I've read some of it and don't agree that it's written in stone that the Telcos wont be held AT ALL responsible for their actions.

3. Hint: I can be upset with the vote without referencing his website.
It doesn't matter to me whether he "went back on" a prior position on FISA.

Well it does, but that's secondary. I'm upset with the vote because it's WRONG, and it's not the position I want my nominee to take.

Not that he's "my" nominee.

I'm upset with his nomination anyway, as he has many positions I don't like. I can find them on his website. And every time he acts to move a position I don't like, I'm likely to be "upset."

4. None.
The idea that Obama has flip-flopped on Iraq is garbage from the McCain campaign.

5. Yes golly let's all join in and add our criticism of our candidate. Way to Go !!
How awfully convenient for John Sidney McCain's opposition research team. Let's line them up for them.

7. This post if mostly for my ignore list because Obama hasn't changed on anything & anyone trying
...to argue that he has usually can't come up with solid consistent examples like we can with McSame.

8. actually, I think this is important for people to ask themselves-
its kinda calling out those who try and hide their personal dislike/prejudice behind the bnner of 'moral outrage'.- Maybe some who don't even realize what they are doing.

10. He hasn't flip flopped on shit, but I wish he would, it would make it easier for me to vote for him.
I'd like for him to flip flop on "clean" coal, cap and trade "regulation" of air pollution, merit pay for teachers, faith based initiatives, the death penalty, marriage equality, foreign policy(in general), etc.

I read his policy positions on his website back when he was running in the primaries, that's the reason he was second to last on my list of candidates. Now that he's the only Democrat running, I'll vote for him, but only because McCain is so much worse than Obama.
