I have a problem
There is a chance my mom might be voting for insane mcsame. I was shocked when she told me this..I asked her WHY? She is waiting to see who they both pick for VP- I wonder if mom wants Obama to pick Hillary. I tried telling about her about how McSame is going to be the same as bush. She said I was being negative and she thinks Mccain is "honorable" and she likes Cindy. I tried telling about Cindy and she wasn't having any of that.

1. Some people just see what they want to see.
They will only change their minds if it is something that affects them personally.

I mean she was a Kennedy Girl in 1960..but she could also going on the fact that Obama has no experience either. I know though that she did vote for Gore and Kerry though.

5. Ask her what experience McCain has--and how she feels about the "disgrace" of Social Security,
as McCain called it...

3.  if she likes the McCains
can't she just read McCain's book and contribute to Cindy's charity, and hold her nose and vote for Obama? Lol. I get the impression that Cindy does not want her husband to be president that badly. Didn't she say something to that effect a couple of years ago on CNN, and then quickly said "I'm not not supposed to say anything..."

4. I don't see how it's any of your business who she votes for, but
if you want to persuade her, just talk about the RNC talking points that are being lied about 24-7 on Fox. (and others.)

Meanwhile, there is work to do.

6. well we are usually pretty open about politics
my mom and dad (RIP) and I used to talk about politics. The last day I spoke to my dad before he had his anuresym told me that he was not going to vote for Bush that year because he was messing with his medicare. My dad had voted Republican since Nixon in 1968.

8. Converting voters is what we *should* be doing.
What a bizarre thing for you to say.

13. Nice to meet you.
Voter registration, persuading undecideds, community organizing- check.

Changing the minds of family members is not on my list of priorities. In order to keep peace in my family, I've learned to live with leaving my loved ones' politics alone.

My district had a 300% increase in turnout for the caucus. We were organized. Bizzare? If you say so.

14. I try to change all the minds I can.
And yeah, its bizarre to tell someone what their business is with regard to their own family. You obviously disagree.

12. Just start talking bad about Mormons... so when he picks Romney you will be ahead of the game
I AM KIDDING...........

Just chill and let her get more information on her own.

The more she knows the more likely she is to vote for Obama. Stop being negative. Clearly she is tuning that out. There are hundreds of positive things to say about our candidate, and his wife, and their children.
