John McCain used a horrible misogynistic slur against his own wife in public.
What if Bill Clinton, Al Gore, John Kerry, or Barack Obama had done the same thing?

We. Would. Never. Hear. The. End. Of. It.

I just thought about that and the enormity of it hit me in the face like a brick. If there was ever a doubt that John McCain is getting a free ride by the media, this one thing should remove it. :grr:

4. is there really any proof of this?
All I know is the assertion was made by Schecter in his book.
Who are the 3 reporters who overheard this and why haven't they come forward?

As much as I'd like to believe it, until 1 or more of the reporters are identified and they confirm/deny ... it's just a rumor.

5. True, but McCain has never denied it.
Which I realize isn't an admission of guilt but if I were a Presidential candidate and I were accused of saying something and I didn't really say it I'd deny it vociferously when asked about it. Yet McCain hasn't done that.

6. meh... I don't think that shows much
I don't think Obama has come out and denied he's a 'secret muslim' and I don't take that as evidence that he is.

7. the problem is that everyone has met Cindy
It's a nasty word, but then, she's a really nasty piece of work.

But yeah, shame on him, and he should be held accountable. This wasn't his preacher. This was him, and he ought to have to answer for it.
