1. I think Rasmussen is full of shit and probably shaves off some of Obama's numbers

How can polls say there's HUGE motivational gap and Obama leads in a lot of state polls...but is only ahead 4 points nationally?

2. The problem I have with this theory

Namely, the theory that any major polling company is deliberately skewing its numbers for or against a candidate or party, is that these companies depend on a reputation for accuracy in these published polls. These polls are advertising for their business, and a record of accuracy is how they hope to sell their services in competition with other polling companies.

Or am I missing something?
