2. It was on a crawler on CNN but they didn't have a corresponding figure for Obama
I was wondering too, and no, I have not been to the website. :)

6. more than them
but its the RNC numbers that worry me more. I love Dean and think he's done a much better job of running our party than Terry or anyone in my memory. I hate that it might tarnish him if the DNC is not able to compete with the RNC.

18. It's not Dean's fault - it's Pelosi and Reid
If they would stop enabling *, the DNC coffers would grow

3. No idea but
He raised roughly $22 million in May. However in June he clinched the nomination, started doing multimillion dollar fundraisers and did fundraising with the Clintons.

As a WAG I would say around $35-40 million.

However the DNC is probably still lagging far behind the RNC.

12. I couldn't believe my credit card bill this month.
every month I tell myself "no donations apart from the auto withdrawls to the party and Obama" Then I get the bill and ad up the donations and say "next month I have to catch up. No donations." I'm a sucker for "win a chance to see Obama in Denver" pitches. Well, actually, lots of pitches work on me.

It took me a year to pay off my donations to Kerry.

It's my even year charity.

15. O camp has not released the numbers yet, deadline is the 20th. reuters figures:
Edited on Fri Jul-11-08 05:12 AM by GoldieAZ49
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Republican John McCain raised $22 million for his White House bid in June, his best month of fundraising, and his campaign voiced confidence on Thursday he could compete financially with record-setting Democratic rival Barack Obama.

McCain had $27 million in the bank at the end of June, and the Republican National Committee had nearly $68 million in the bank to help support the Arizona senator in the final push to the November 4 presidential election against Obama.

The combined fundraising allowed McCain to gain an edge over Obama in spending on television advertisements in battleground states in the last month, McCain campaign manager Rick Davis said.

"We will have significant resources to prosecute a campaign that is very robust," Davis said.

Obama has not reported his money figures for June, but he had about $43 million in the bank at the end of May. The Democratic National Committee, however, had just $4 million in the bank.

16. $4M in the bank, but how much has been spent on 50-state strategy?
Would be interesting to know. Dean's 50-state strategy requires spending the war chest rather than accumulating it for media blitzes. Which strategy is better? We will find out in Nov., but I have a hunch it isn't a month of TV ads.

17. looks like it is being spent as it comes in...it is interesting following the money
no limit prior to the conventions, just after, so the summer is all you can afford, but the majority are not paying attention until Labor Day

21. $300,000 of McCain's donations came from 9 people
He has bypassed the $2300 law with this RNC/McCain campaign setup.

You bet the very rich are giving to McCain they can see the banking failures, housing failures
and gasoline outrage and need to save their ass to get McCain elected.
