Imagine what life in this nation would be like under a President McCain. |
|
Imagine what this country would be like when a President McCain get to nominate 1 or 2 new justices to the Supreme Court. If you are concerned about the way FISA went now, imagine how it would be then. Imagine what kind of powers that kind of court would grant McCain and how he would use them. Considering the FISA bill, I would much rather have that under control of a President Obama who would have the power to limit it or curtail it, than with a President McCain who would wield it like a sword.
Imagine a President McCain who vows there will be no timetable to bring our troops home from Iraq and who would joyfully start a war with Iran. Imagine the tens of thousands of innocent civilians who would die there as well as our own troops. All the while that $10 billion a month will still be poured into Iraq.
Healthcare--forget it. Imagine Americans still struggling to get, keep, or even afford healthcare. Think about the millions of Americans who would simply no longer have hope that their lives will get better.
Now imagine all the things that a President Obama will do.
There are many, many reasons to vote for Obama and not simply that he is not McCain. No, Barack Obama is not perfect and he has said himself that some of us will be disappointed with him and disagree with him, but he is so many light years better than McCain that there is no comparison. So don't begrudgingly cast a vote for Obama. Vote for him knowing that you have the chance to help put this nation on a better path, one that leads to hope for millions and millions of us. This country so desperately needs hope.
