McCain misfires on Obama attack
(CNN) — It turns out that John McCain made an off-the-mark error when he launched at Barack Obama this week over Iran’s missile tests.

In a statement criticizing Obama’s positions on the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, the organization claiming credit for the missile launches, McCain wrote, “This is the same organization that I voted to condemn as a terrorist organization when an amendment was on the floor of the United States Senate. Senator Obama refused to vote.”

The problem with the critique? McCain also missed that vote on the Kyl-Lieberman amendment on September 26, 2007. Records show that Obama was in New Hampshire and McCain was in New York instead of being in the Senate chamber for the vote in question.........

1. How many gaffes can a man make within *HOURS*?! Geez...
They need to do to him what the Queen does to Prince Phillip, lock him in a nice luxury room in a tower and feed him 3 meals a day. He needs to stay away from the press because this is a nightmare.

K&R

3. Of course, the media will miss the outright McCain lie ...
if Obama said he missed a vote honoring Reagan for his service, and actually voted for it, not only would they say that he was lying, they'd lie about how he voted ...

4. THIS is why his age matters
Over and over again he can't remember how he voted on an issue or what he's previously stated on an issue. We can't have a short-tempered person who can't remember why he's angry in the WH!

5. One thing that is becoming very clear this week is that McCain is cluless
about his votong record.

12. I wish I knew which one it was, though. But he certainly can't
claim memory loss since that would rather glaringly point out his advanced age. And he can't admit lying.

You're right. Either way don't look good.

9. If it's an important vote, you can bet McSame missed it; the habit has annoyed
Arizona Republicans for decades. LTTEs from way back will prove that.

13. While Russert had his blind spots this is the kind of thing that he would have chewed McCain up on

on Sunday. Who in the media is going to step up and simply hold McCain accountable to his wild assed statements.
