Poll question: VP Sweepstakes, Round 1: Hillary Clinton vs. Chris Dodd
I'll be doing a series of VP matchups to see which is REALLY GDPs preferred candidate for Obama's VP. Tonight we have Hillary Clinton vs. Chris Dodd.

Tomorrow night we will have Joe Biden vs. Wes Clark.

Because Dodd is a Senator from a state with a republican governor.

15. Gov. won't choose replacement!
There will be a special election. As I stated above, we already have a willing and able candidate!

19. Thanks for that info.
I thought the Gov. can choose a replacement to fill out Dodd's term.

So I guess Slick Dick will have to do. :) ;) I would rather have Lamont though.

16. Dodd has fewer negatives and a lot less baggage
but he doesn't bring a lot to the ticket.

Truthfully, I'd rather it was neither of them.

18. I'm going with Hillary
I like Dodd, but Hillary did much better than him in terms of the numbers during the primaries. That has to count for something (though Hillary comes with her own baggage).. I'd be happy with either one, though! :) I'd pretty much be happy with anyone he picks, with VERY few exceptions..

But I'd pick Dodd over Hillary without hesitation, if I had to.

24. Hillary is simply a no go
I'm a big fan of Dodd, but I don't think he would be a big help on the VP ticket. He would still be much better than Hillary.
