When will America finally feel like they 'know' Obama?
This excuse has been used ad nauseum, that people don't know enough about Obama. Those people haven't been paying attention, don't read, or aren't curious, yet I hear this all the time. Maybe that trip to Europe/ME will enlighten some people?

What will allow people to 'know' Obama? I don't know what more he could do to educate Americans about him. Any suggestions?

2. never
The American people never really know the President. He/She is not "one of us" and never will be. With Obama you've got several factors that set him apart so that people can't even delude themselves into believing the "know" him (like so many did with GWB). He's black. He's white. He's brilliant. If he was one of us, he wouldn't be where he is today.

4. Most haven't been paying attention.
Most people only pay attention during the short runup to state's primary (if then), and then they have no interest in the presidential race until after the conventions.

So yeah.. I agree that most voters don't know much about Obama. The Democrats have been paying a lot more attention to Obama than Republicans and Independents.. but not by much.

Political junkies like us are a minority in this country. Most people just don't pay attention.

5. America will "know" Obama when Faux does its "expose"
which, in defending it against the charge that it was full of lies, Faux said "At least we got his name right!"

After pointing out that 70 percent of the time, the "expose" called him "Osama", Faux said "So?"

11. People will know what they want to know.
Those who want to learn about him will.
There are a lot of lazy people who will only know what they hear on the teevee.
There are a lot of people who are just too damn busy raising kids, working three jobs, driving kids all over town, to be more informed.
That's just the way things are. I am not really sure much can be done about that.
I feel Obama has done a sufficient job in getting himself exposed to as many different groups as possible. That's really all he could do.
