John McCain may be outspending Obama on TV ads.
Email from David Plouffe, Obama campaign manager:

The McCain campaign is bragging that they are out-raising and out-spending us.

They had their best month ever in June, and combined with the Republican National Committee, they now have more than $95 million in cash on hand.

With this massive fundraising effort, they claim they've been out-spending us 3-to-1 on TV ads over the past couple months.

Unfortunately, when it comes to collecting giant checks from Washington lobbyists and special interest PACs, McCain and the RNC do have a lot to brag about.

They are raking in huge donations from those who want to keep Washington just the way it is. And they are pulling ahead in the money race.

To compete against these big money interests in all 50 states, this campaign is relying on you...

2. I live in Ohio, and I watch a lot of baseball.
There are at least four or five McCain commercials aired during every game. And it's always the same ad. It's the one where McCain tries to paint himself as an environmentalist or something. Actually I'm not sure what he's trying to do. But it's annoying the hell out of me. And it's only July.

6. I guess they're not considering
the overload effect?

Wear the people out by the end of summer and soon they'll switch sides...

4. The production value in McCain commercials is "Uncle Wally's Basement Productions"
We're getting hammered with his cheesy, half-witted, full throttle lies in his very ugly looking ads.

McCain the environmentalist... McCain the POW where scenes of hippies at Woodstock start the ad... I forget the other one... my remote skills are unsurpassed.

7. I hope the McCain campaign has miscalculated...

...in hoping that hatred-of-hippies can carry them to victory in 2008.
