Rasmussen - McSame +4 in SD ... PPP - Obama +4 in CO

In South Dakota, John McCain leads Barack Obama by just four percentage points. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds McCain with 44% of the vote and Obama with 40%. When “leaners” are included, it’s still a four-point race--McCain 47% Obama 43%.

http://tpmelectioncentral.talkingpointsmemo.com/2008/07/poll_obama_has_narrow_lead_in.php

A new survey of Colorado by Public Policy Polling (D) shows Barack obama with a narrow lead in this swing state, which has been trending from red to blue very quickly in the last few years.

The numbers: Obama 47%, McCain 43%, with a margin of error of ±3%. Other recent polls have also shown Obama with a narrow lead in this state.

--------

This after polls have shown Obama +5 in Montana and tied in ND...

1. Is Obama even advertising in South Dakota?
I love good news but this seems way off...I don't think Obama's even targeting South Dakota.

7. Great News
Obama being 4 behind In SD Is great.COnsider this Is from RAS.Which also has him tied In ND,and
ahead In Montana. This election could be similar to 1996 when Clinton beat Dole by 7 points despite his support beign cut by Perot, and had a Electoral landslide.Obama could beat Mccain by a few points and win a huge Electoral Collage victory. He could win ND,Montana,Colorado,Virginia,Indiana,
and Possibly Alaska or NC but lose Arkansas,West Virginia,Kentuckey,Arizona,Tennesse,Louisana and possablly Florida(although It Is still In play for Obama and there might be long shots of Arkansas and arizona too)

9. I am in Iowa, and if Obama is only 4 back in SD.
Then butter the toast and pass the coffee. Things are looking good :)

10. Hopefully he gets that Colorado lead up just a bit.
I'd feel better if it were 8%.

If Obama wins Colorado, Iowa and New Mexico, then carries all of Kerry's states, he wins the presidency with 273 electoral votes. That's all he needs! This doesn't count Ohio, Florida, Virginia, North Carolina, North Dakota, Montana, South Dakota, Nevada, Missouri, Georgia, Indiana or South Carolina, all states Obama CAN win. If he does win every one of those states, we're looking at Obama reaching 407 electoral votes!

11. That's exactly what I'm thinking.
Colorado + New Mexico + Iowa. Three very do-able states.
