WHY doesn't McNuts ever have his kids on the campaign trail? |
|
I don't mean for this to end up being a racial thing, but do you think he just doesn't want his Pubbie supporters to see his little girl from bangladesh? A lot of HIS supporters don't have a problem slinging slurs against Barack that we all know are racist. What would their reaction be if they saw pasty faced McNut & his blond wife standing there with this quite dark complected daughter? Don't you think that picture just might make the racist remarks go away?

1. Someone posted this question a couple of weeks ago and got slammed |
|
But I would like to know the answer also. I have only seen one picture of her. I wouldn't be surprised if he was trying to shield her. I also wouldn't be surprised if he didn't want to reprieve the "black baby" robocalls.

4. I didn't mean she should be interviewed. That's something her & her parents |
|
should decide, but Edwards appeared with his kids a lot, Barack & Michelle appear with theirs, Justice Roberts appeared with his. I'd like to have some reporters ask McNuts why we never see his WHOLE FAMILY?

6. I can't fault any politician for not wanting to expose |
|
their underage (she's in high school, I think) child to the scrutiny of a public campaign. I'm not sure that's why she's not there, but IMHO, it's better to try to protect her than to bring her out for some perceived political advantage.

9. Or disadvantage...as the case may be. Again, I didn't say interview her, |
|
or even speak to her. I'm just talking about what appears to be HIDING HER! I also don't mean that she should be everywhere with "daddy", but once in a while might show that he's proud of his daughter, don't ya think?

I can understand why any politician might want to keep their child completely out of it, if possible. If she were not "dark skinned" (where there would be no perceived advantage or disadvantage to having her on the campaign trail) would it even be an issue? I don't recall seeing his other younger children (those who would have been under aged when he was running for the nomination in 2000) on the campaign trail then, either.
I'm not saying I know why she's not in on the campaign appearances now, and it certainly could be because he thinks it would hurt him, but it could also be because he's trying to protect her, and I don't see a problem with that.

8. It could partly be an age thing |

The daughter who is often seen on the campaign trail is, I believe, 23, and able to contribute the time to participate in the campaign to a greater extent. His "illegitimate, black" (to use Rove's terminology from the SC campaign) daughter is 16 and still in high school. I'd be more suspicious of the fact that we see one daughter and not the other if it weren't for the fact that we don't really see any of his other children, either. The older daughter seems to have made the choice to participate in the campaign to a greater extent than his other children have. I do think your question is a fair one, though.
EDITED for clarity... I think. haha

10. Weren't Shrub's twins still in HS when he ran in 1999? |
|
I realize we didn't see them often, and that's fine. The thing that bothers me about McNuts is that we NEVER see the one daughter who might cause controversy within the Pub crowd.
