I spent 45 minutes with the guy talking about US and world affairs back in February. After an inspirational meeting, my parting comment to him was this: "You make me want to be the person I think I can be." http://my.barackobama.com/page/community/post/samgrahamfelsen/Cylkpm me if you want to volunteer.

and I am glad to hear from someone who had the same experience. I volunteered for him in Illinois (2004) and everytime I talked to him, I walked away with the same feeling. I was a point in my life where I felt like my life was not worth very much but talking to him made me not only want to be the person I always wanted to be, but also that I could be that person. Even when he disagreed with me (or I disagreed with him) he did not put me down and made me feel like my opinion mattered, that I mattered. There are many reasons why I still support the man, and this is just one small one of them. Because even though I don't always agree with him, I know that we, the people, matter to him.

It had been something I'd been mulling over for a long, long time. Now I'm looking into participating in legal action groups against factory farming.
I was nudged into doing something that was important to me, something I had not acted on.
I don't agree with Obama on everything (never expected to), but he has inspired me. America needs that and he has the intellect to take the helm. Against McBush, it's a no-brainer.
Thanks for your work on the campaign. Cheers.
