15. LOL!
Looks like they did segregate the class by gender, with the girls all in white.

In a great big way.

Not to get too dakine on you but Uncle Moe Keale used to say that Auntie Pilahi Paki long said, a gift of love and aloha will come from Hawaii in this century that will help heal the world.

Here's Barack speaking to the kids a while back...

10. Please tell me more about Auntie Pilahi. It goes along with my intuition about him.
"...Uncle Moe Keale used to say that Auntie Pilahi Paki long said, a gift of love and aloha will come from Hawaii in this century that will help heal the world."

That goes to my heart somehow, Mahina. I have this deep intuition that the Hawaii connection has profound implications, but I can't explain it to people.

Auntie Pilahi said,
"...in the next millennium the world will turn to Hawai`i in its search for world peace because Hawai`i has the key ... and that key is ALOHA."

Here's a little bit about Uncle Moe, and some of Auntie Pilahi's work.
http://www.geocities.com/moekeale2020/alohalesson.htm
Wherever he went, whever he had a chance -- at poolside, concert and stage performances, on cruises, during interviews, in classes or just 'talking story' -- Moe generously shared the message of Aloha and its true meaning with others.

“What I share with you now, you can share with wherever you came from,” he said hopefully six days before he passed on.

"The most important thing about Aloha is it is free, from up there,” Keale explained pointing to the sky.

“You can live with Aloha. It will change your life.”

“Aloha means hello, goodbye, I love you, but it means much more. Aloha is not only a word to Hawaiians, it is a spiritual thing, something that lives,” Keale said.

He went on to explain, in a voice that was as peaceful and soothing as the concepts it explained, that every letter in the word “aloha” has a deeper meaning. The first A in aloha represents akahai, meaning kindness expressed in tenderness. The L represents lokahi, meaning unity, harmony and the O represents olu’olu meaning agreeable, content, happy. The H represents ha‘aha‘a meaning humility expressed with a feeling of modesty. The last A in aloha represents ahonui, meaning patience applied with perseverance.

Hekate, you want me to mail you a CD of Moe's music? It would make you feel like home again. Moe was so wonderful, so much heart, so joyful and so good. The last words he said to me? "I love you."

14. I wonder why
They didn't show a picture of John McCain's graduation. I mean I know that they didn't have camera's back then but it must be painted on some cave wall. I would think they would promote it.

Raebrek!!!
