Gregory: "Is Obama making a mistake by taking a trip abroad when the economy's in such bad shape?"
Edited on Wed Jul-16-08 05:44 PM by jenmito
:eyes: Jeez-David Gregory's true colors are really showing! Now he's questioning Obama's TIMING of his trip abroad, saying he thinks people in OH and PA may see him as wanting approval from OTHER countries when THIS country is in such poor shape. You know-like an elite internationalist? Give me a BREAK already with this narrative that everything he does is a mistake! And Noah Oppenheim is going on about "at what price does he want to negotiate with people like Ahmadinejad?" :wtf:

Waiting for my thrifted end table's new paint to dry so I can go out and give it another coat. His show would take the joy out of everything.

Btw, Hardball may be next off my list. Chris treated John Stoltz like dog shit today. It used to be fun bitching about those talking heads but I can't muster the patience nowadays.

On the other hand - Keith is back tonight!!! :woohoo:

Does he question McCain and his travels like this. These people think we really are stupid, Obama is an elitist if he was so what, they will do anything to pretend that racism is not somehow involved in these questions.

They question everything he says and really want us to believe that Obama has to explain himself further. Gregory and his crew need to get their asses out their and start questioning Bush and Cheney about what they are going to do to help the american people with these depression... Here we go again Obama needs to do this or obama needs to do that I have been hearing this shit for months. He has explained his thoughts on a variety of subjects they are doing their best to help their party the RepubliCON party..

This whole day, surge is working. Other reasons than just sending troups, and still didn't win this war, whatever the meaning of 'win' is.

The rest had no opinion) yet he kept going on about the mythical 95% number, not understanding that more Black people didn't support McCain "even though he served this country and was tortured for 5 years and to this day can't lift his arms above his head). :eyes:

So it is perfectly normal for him to take trips overseas. He is a Senator - with very little power to change economic policy - until January 2009. Gregory should ask why Bush went overseas.

What does a trip overseas have to do with the economy? Obama needs to take care of another very important issue that by the way affects our economy. The money we are wasting in Iraq could be used to give Americans more stimulus.

67. MSNBC Is Starting To Make Me Sick
Yesterday after Obama's speech re: foreign policy - they had their attack dog Pat Buchanan, the girl who asks the negative questions and a dem strategist. It was all very negative - mean while over at CNN, after the speech - they went to other news. MSNBC is becoming way too repetitive and opinionated in the politics portion.

David Gregory - shut the fuck up! If it's not one thing, it's another with Obama.

70. Exactly what impact would Obama's trip be on the economy?
Should all traveling to other parts of the World stop?

Should Presidential candidates use unicycles to get around the country?

Should Obama not travel to the Middle East and elsewhere so that asshats and great dancers with Karl Rove like Gregory could say he never travels there?

Indeed, it took some brain tissue functions for the thought to enter the small brain in Gregory's head to concoct such a beltway-laden query?

71. It's not like he's going on "The Grand Tour" for three months.
He's not wining and dining in 5-star restaurants and hobnobbing in a tux every night. And I'm pretty sure he's not taking in the opera, Fashion Week or the Save Venice gala.

73. I had the TV on in the Garage, doing chores with my kid
She is fourteen and into Journalism. I let Gregory's first segment go by (Obama doesn't have a sense of humor) then my kid made a comment about Gregory's hair (trying to spark me up I think) and then the asshole made the trip abroad comment. At that point I called him a tool and let her know that he is far removed from being a journalist.

74. Did he have any complaints about McSame's pandering tour
peddling more of our jobs and getting photo ops?

If so then I can accept consistency but otherwise, he's an ass.

75. No matter what Obama does, it's a mistake to some.
Maybe David Gregory hasn't heard of "them new fangled gadgets" called telephones that allow people to keep in touch all around the world. Just as Obama doesn't have to go to Iraq to make policy on that front, he doesn't have to rent an office on Wall Street to make economic decisions.
