I hope that the newsreaders can get over it.
Because it is not Barack's fault,
plus, he's more than funny enough.

Poor Media.

Please discuss!

5. Since he's our Nominee.
I think it is ok to just say it.
He's got other things going on,
so he's not a one trick pony.

I will say that Michelle is a formidable woman,
so he has to have it going on
to have kept her giddy for 15 years.

7. i know i know, i've been holding back too
cuz it feels shallow and meaningless to gawk at someone good looking, but hell yeah,

he's a looker all right.

but i woundl't quite call it sexy to me anyway - altho he sure is that and a bag of chips - its that kind of feeling where you would be so lucky to know him and be in his circle - that he would be a great friend and just all around a blessing to your life. a regualr swell guy.

19. There's nothing wrong with being easy on the eyes.
After enduring 8 years of having to look at a president who makes me throw up a little in my mouth, Obama's charming mug will be a refreshing change of pace.

6. Dunno - I Saw The Soccer Dad Photos - He Could Blend In Pretty Easily
Particularly with the bike trailer photos. All he needs is a baby bjorn and he would be able to walk around the neighborhood without anyone being the wiser.

Finally a candidate that can appeal to the low info voter (like the people who voted for Bush because they wanted a cowboy in the WH :wtf: I know.)

He's doing it here, too, even though you can't see his eyes.

27. Bill Clinton was CHARISMATIC, not "Aw shucks"
Also sexy, at least back in 1992.

As for Obama...sexy? Personally, I don't see it. Nice-looking academic type, nice smile. Someone's favorite professor.

But I'm well aware that there are lots of people who think Obama is both sexy and charismatic. I don't see it. I wasn't all that impressed by him when I first heard him speak in 2004, and I'm not that impressed by him now (I wish he was as articulate as Bill Clinton usually is), though I will support him and vote for him because he's the nominee.

And because he is our nominee, I'm glad there are some people who think he's charismatic and sexy, even if I don't see it. Their responding to him that way means more votes.

By the way, the media IS well aware of Obama's appeal -- what do you think all the "rock star" comments are about?

The quote below is from page 2 of a Christian Science Monitor piece on Obama and charismatic politicians including Bill Clinton:

http://www.csmonitor.com/2008/0228/p09s01-coop.html

An inspirational president could restore a sense of agency to the American people, imbuing us with the confidence that the choices we make and the actions we take can shape our families' and our country's future, that we are not the hapless victims of forces that we cannot control. A charismatic leader could break through the prevailing orthodoxy that the nation is permanently divided into red and blue states and condemned to bitter partisanship, and build a broader sense of community, with a compelling new vision.

He or she could persuade the alienated to set aside their cynicism, engage with public life, and sacrifice for their country. Such a president could do what JFK did a generation ago and galvanize young people to serve their country and themselves by confronting such seemingly intractable problems as failing schools, poverty, disease, and climate change. Looking abroad, such a leader could restore the high standing the United States once had in the world, not because of its wealth but because of its moral stature.

The election of a charismatic president might help counter images of America as invader and occupier and replenish the country's woefully depleted stock of "soft power."

In the past, both JFK and Bill Clinton used their rock star-like magnetism to enhance America's reputation abroad – despite policy disagreements with other countries. Another charismatic president could start to mend our nation's tattered global reputation.

28. Professors are very sexy.
As for Bill:
Because I got wind of Bill's ways,
it took some of the sexyness away.
I just remember him always with his mouth
slightly open as though he had just been caught
doing something naughty, and knew it, but wanted you
not to believe it.
