CNN: Situation Room: They Actually Accused Bush of Copying Obama's Ideas
Edited on Wed Jul-16-08 07:12 PM by writes3000
Did anyone else see this segment?

Point by point, they explained how Obama has led on a number of issues which the Bush Adminstration now seems to be following. I expected them to somehow twist this as a bad thing for Obama but they didn't.

It was Wolf, Cafferty, Gloria Berger and Stephen Harper (I think).

Harper was particularly pissed that Bush changed positions on Iran.

Cafferty and Wolf both repeated twice that Obama was first about diplomacy with Iran and first on more troops in Afghanistan. The consensus was this was bad for McCain.

I was shocked.

3. ALSO: I heard Rachel Maddow today reporting on Robert Gates' latest speech - pure Obama
She read portions of Gates' speech which practically sounded like a commercial for Obama.

"We cannot kill and capture our way to victory. We must use diplomacy. That section of our government has been underfunded and underutilized."

Not word for word but that was the gist.
