Obama's first 100 days - what should be done, and post your predictions here.
I'll start off with 5.

1) He begins the order of the new AG to go documents-diving and get ALL the pertinent and incriminating evidence of the entire Chimp mal-administration
2) Freezes ALL assets of the war profiteers and the CEO's and slap them with 110% windmill tax for the next 8 years of the horrorshow. And then charge them with treason.
3) Roll back ALL of Chimp's tax cuts to the ultrawealthy, and also reinstate all Clintonian taxes that may be relevant.
4) Reinstate the new version of Fairness Doctrine - updated to apply with the Internet age as well as cable, TV and radio. Order Rush Limbaugh's contract reviewed for clause and invoke that said clause for his crimes in the DR and also for his drug addiction.
5) Declare that the dollar's strength will return to pre-1990's and consider using a new currency that can be shared by Mexico, Canada and the United States to compete with the euro.

There. I spent 10 minutes thinking, and writing all that stuff down. I'm interested in hearing what YOURS are.

2. Re-name "Homeland" Security to something less Hitler-like. Maybe its not THAT important, but...
I'd really like it if the US government would shave off that little Hitler mustache.

3. Alarm bells going off on your #5, HawkeyeX.
It's one of the "rumors" we've heard about the dastardly plan to form a North American Union. The Amero.

I don't see any other way we could all share the same currency without melding into one big happy family.

5. Energy and Fair Trade reform.
We can't freewheel into the global economy if it only serves the rich.

Sustainability in all matters.

We need to make our decisions with the clear understanding that our grandchildrens' futures depend on them.

7. I'm with you on the first 4
Not so much the last one. We need less NAFTA bullshit, not the "North American Union" or the "Amero".

And definitely not the "NAFTA super highway" but that's another subject.

I'd also expand #4 to reinstate the Sherman Antitrust Act. First corporate behemoths on the chopping block - media. Second - oil companies. Or both at the same time. There's gotta be enough non-Bush Crime Family appointed federal judges out there to run a few different cases at once. Under John Edwards' Justice Department, of course.

8. I love a dreamer
Of course, it will be nothing of the sort - just some window-dressing stuff, like always.

Personally, I hope it's as boffo as Pelosi's first 100 days.

I still feel THAT earthquake of change even now...

:sarcasm:

12. #1 Get out of Iraq. We can't afford anything else until we do.
#2 Health care - the worse the economy and housing situation becomes, the harder obtaining health care will become.
#3 Global warming issues: nothing else matters if we don't have a planet or lose all of our coastlines.
#4 Alternative energy investments : how about getting some money for this by charging an annual luxury tax on SUV's (unless someone has a medical necessity or other genuine business reason for driving these things . . . in my neck of Pa, ladies drive them to Panera every morning for coffee...arrghhhh.....
#5 Infrastructure investments to create jobs and prevent more collapsing bridges and dams.

13. I think a little differently..
1.Scrap the Patriot Act.
2.Scrap the Real ID Act (or whatever they are currently calling it)
3.Scrap the Protect America Act.
4.Scrap the TSA and their "no fly list".
5.Name Bush and Cheney as Enemy combatants, and let them experience Guantanamo first hand.

I have more, but I don't expect anything of any major importance to be done....but I'm willing to be surprised..(I am not anti-Obama at all...just realistic)

Do I think any of these will take place? No I don't,especially with the halls of congress full of Pelosi-esque bureaucrats, each one weaker and more self serving than the last.

Sorry Hawk...but the very last thing I would support is a common currency, although I believe that the "fix" is already in,and we are just a couple of steps away from the North America Union, and only another step or 2 till the Rich Elite gets everything they could ever hope for in the New World Order.

My predictions?..We are Fooked, and by the very people we have entrusted to protect and serve us.

Don't mean to be a downer...but that's the way I see it
