Let's call some talk radio stations today
Here are a couple talking points to counter the current GOP talking points:

-- Obama is right to decide that ending the occupation of Iraq is the right strategy. And I am glad he is willing to go to Iraq to talk to commanders about the right tactics needed to accomplish that.

-- Like Eisenhower in 1952, Obama is running as the candidate who can restore peace through strength. That makes him far better than the dangerous hothead (McCain) who promises "more wars, my friends."

1. Peace through strength. Kerry said that in 2004, & he had the Eisenhowers supporting his candidacy,
but you know how much time the media gave to his fine statement?

Zero.

2. I already emailed Limbaugh and told him he was a pussy if he didn't jump on ..
The Pope ....

Pope hits out at consumer culture

Pope Benedict XVI has attacked popular culture and consumerism in a formal address to tens of thousands of young Roman Catholics.

....

The 81-year-old pontiff also called for greater protection of the environment for future generations.

He spoke of "scars which mark the surface of our earth - erosion, deforestation, the squandering of the world's mineral and ocean resources in order to fuel an insatiable consumption".

I told him The Pope is spreading Liberal Propaganda and sounds like Al Gore. :sarcasm:

3. good luck. I know you have the best intentions but...
... right wing radio has it's callers at a complete disadvantage. They can make an intelligent caller sound like complete fruitcake by merely cutting the mic at just the right time - not to mention their 5 - 7 second delay. Their screeners prep the host for what you're going to say, and if you try to fool the screener with another topic other than your intended one, the host will cut you off before your point is ever made.

I believe Dems trying to debate right wing radio hosts only adds to their effort to portray Dems as raving losers. I've rarely heard a caller be successful at it.

4. OK, then
Call progressive hosts to make sure those points are driven home on the air.
