Poll question: Do you think Chimpy will create an incident or event to steal headlines from Obama next week?
A terra event, of sorts? Or, perhaps the "capture" of some al Qaeda big cheese we've had in US custody for weeks/years now? An announcement of a B*sh Iraq withdrawal timetable with a McCain endorsement? The capture of Sarah Jessica Parker's missing mole?

I think that Chimp has something in the bag to take the spotlight away from Obama's whirlwind tour, but that's just me.

1. Something to stimulate the loins of christian conservatives with values?
That would involve intense hate or the massive deaths of non-white non-christians.

2. If they do, I might backfire...
It would become a test of both candidates in contrast to ways that Bush would react.

While Bush has the advantage of holding the cards on "the truth", intelligence and ops, he rarely makes a smart move.

McCain would just pee his pants, call countries by their wrong name, or just explode.

Obama would have an opportunity to demonstrate his cool, his wisdom, and his leadership abilities.

It might not be a bad thing...

3. Yes, they will TRY.
But I predict the Obama campaign is two (eighteen?) steps ahead of them on this. They've probably thought out the many ways the chimps could throw a wrench in things. But even if they haven't already decided on the particulars, Obama will react appropriately, as he has in every other situation so far. He will come out looking stronger than ever.

5. hmmmm... that could be it... but Obama will be in that region so
I don't see it working to Sleepy McCain's advantage.

6. Maybe he and McSame will tour Checkoslovakia.
Or send special forces to attack Al Qaida in Iran.
