Denver Group runs newspaper ad against DNC, 2nd time.
Group Runs Newspaper Ad Demanding Hillary Be On Ballot At Convention

Check out the half-page ad that a pro-Hillary group called the Denver Group -- a reference to the location of the Dem convention -- is running in today's edition of CQ (click to enlarge):

The ad demands that Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid stop opposing the inclusion of Hillary's name on the ballot, and invokes FDR to make its case.

So what is the " Denver Group," anyway? It's been getting some media attention of late, and CQ had a piece detailing the group last week: It was formed by a pro-Hillary Georgetown University professor named Heidi Li Feldman, and its aim is to lobby for an open convention and for the inclusion of Hillary's name on the ballot. She claims to have raised $100,000 for her efforts.

Their website blog.

The Denver Group

They ran an ad in the Chicago Tribune last week.

I hope it is just a nuisance thing, but I fear it fed off the FL and MI fiascos. Those efforts built up great anger and discontent, and perhaps led to groups like this.

1. These pigs aren't worthy to wipe FDR's arse, much less invoke him for their idiocy.
What would Franklin think of this mess were he here today?

2. Well, they lie in their statement..so I'm not
giving them any validity. Did FDR have to lie?

17. A lot of that anti-Clinton stuff was really poisonous
So much so, upon reviewing it again (ugh), I am not that surprised that there are still some hard feelings out there.

I would also not to be surprised to find out that these hard feelings are being manipulated by Republican operatives.

5. Not Congressional Quarterly
:wow: that widely read publication. Now everyone in America will know their ideas and we are doomed. DOOMED I tell you.

In all seriousness.

Notice where they are running these ads. Chicago Tribune, CQ,...they are running them where Barack or his staff might see them...not where they will garner any mainstream attention.

to reach a wide audience. I think they only want it to reach one person.

11. "there is talk"

Really? Who is doing this talking about keeping Hillary from being nominated?

Actually, it would not surprise me if there were talk. Both candidates have thousands of regular people attending as delegates. All the speeches in the world is not going to stop many of them from booing and jeering their opponents.

The last thing any sensible Democrat wants to see is Hillary being treated disrespectfully at the convention. The second to last thing we want to see is Obama being treated disrespectfully at the convention. Yet both are almost certain to happen.

14. The "Denver Group" is funded by pharmaceutical lobbyists
Which has also been the case with at least 4 other "PUMA" sites so far.

How much money would these bastards gain from Hillary's Romneycare II corporate "healthcare" if they succeeded in stealing the nomination?

They're obviously bankrolling this ridiculous shit for a reason.

18. This is the most asinine, bullshit strawman argument I've ever seen.
He was 90 votes short because there were still 7 other candidates vying for the nomination when they got to the convention.

But okay, fine - let's play by 1932 rules, then. Hillary doesn't pass the Two-Thirds rule, so Obama is the nominee. Done.

Let's get all hypothetical and assume that by some longshot, some Winning Lotto while Being Struck By Lightning Moment, Hillary's name comes up at the convention and she defeats Obama.

(I know. go with me for a minute. Thx.)

How in the fuck do these PUMAs think she's going to be able to raise $300 million bucks in two months?

From her donors? Nope, they're tapped. Already gave all they could give.

Public financing? I don't think that would be possible.

Take over Obama's fundraising? Heh. Good luck getting money from O supporters after robbing him of the nomination.

Bill n'Hil's bank account? Nope. They could drain every dime and McCrazy would be able to out-spend them probably by about 10 to 1.

It's beginning to look like in order to be a PUMA, you not only have to believe in Hillary, but also unicorns, Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy. Fuckin' nut-jobs.

22. The Good Doctor put that little flame out, pronto.
It probably still won't stop more ads from running, or more PUMAs from getting cable net face time...

Of all the kooky things that went on this primary season and now that we're pivoting to the GE, these people really wind my watch.

Could you tell?
