Is the US is doomed if we elect another Republican President?

A great civilization is not conquered from without until it has destroyed itself within.*

The essential causes of Rome's (United States?) decline lay in her people, her morals, her class struggle, her failing trade, her bureaucratic despotism, her stifling taxes, her consuming wars. (might we also add the national debt of $455,000 per household to this quote?)*
