McCain says he will be in the Senate next year at a Town Hall
That is what he suggested at a town hall meeting earlier this week in New Mexico by way of offering a tip of the cap to Rep. Steve Pearce, who is running to succeed Sen. Pete Domenici.

McCain: "Could I mention the presence of my friend Congressman Steve Pearce who I believe will be joining me in the United States Senate.

(Applause)

Steve, thank you"

I think he should have suggested that they do a fact finding mission
in Czechoslovakia together.

1. Well, at least he realizes that he won't be
going anywhere but where he already is.

That's a glimpse of sanity verbalized
on his part.

Good for him!

2. He sure as HELL hasn't been in the Senate this year; only one not to vote on Medicare.
I believe Sen. McCain has not shown up since April.

Barack has been there to vote.

Sen. Kennedy showed up to vote on Medicare despite brain cancer.

Sen. McCain? The only, sole, lonely, one senator not to show up last week or this week to vote on Medicare. Keeping his streak alive. He's such a horse's ass.

5. Some news reports that I've read label him as the "probable" GOP nominee
I can't remember exactly where I read that but I thought it sounded extremely odd since he locked up the GOP nomination some time ago.

9. I'm all for his still being there next year -- without his pal.
But not beyond the end of his current term.
