same ol' same ol'... Divide and conquer... hasn't this tactic gotten a little stale?
Birth Control Pill = Abortion?
Only if the intent is to polarize the electorate with ignorance.
Criminals typically set fires to destroy or obfuscate the evidence of their guilt.

3. Do these idiots not realize that some women are prescribed the pill for health reasons? |
|

They are used quite frequently to correct hormone imbalances.
My ex used to be on birth control pills for this very reason.
Obviously, they just don't understand women.

4. Nope the republican mind doesn't allow them the freedom of |
|
thought to shift through the talking point and see the crap they are being fed. They rant and rave about abortions yet in the next breath they rant and rave about children on government aid. They rant about teen pregnancies then rant about how its the parents duty to stop the kids from getting pregnant. To be honest I have yet to see a republican lap dog actually come up with a workable plan for anything. Maybe its because they are so busy ranting about things that they don't have time to find a plan.

5. I'm one of the women you speak of. It's prescribed for my condition, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome |
|
also and more commonly known as PCOS. Major hormone imbalances and it's a staple in the many medications taken to handle the condition.

8. Well, O'Reilly doesn't. (I'm shocked, I say!) |
|

I happened to see just a few minutes of his program where he was expounding on why insurers who cover Viagra don't cover birth control pills. You see Viagra is for a "medical condition" and birth control is merely a personal choice.
Wait, it might have been Glenn Beck. I think it was O'Reilly. Not much diff though.

6. If that argument is used what will stop them from defining abortion as... |
|
one receiving a vasectomy or having their tubes tied or receiving a blow job or masturbating? Or even refusing to have sex with their spouse

7. Idiots. You might be able to assert an IUD is somehow abortion, |
|
but not the pill. It helps to have a basic understanding of how the different methods work.

9. Are they talking about RU-486? |
|
What type of birth control are they talking about? On a broad definition any type of abortion is birth control, so I think they need to define what they are talking about more clearly.

10. I was afraid this was going to happen. There is a problem. |
|
There is a gray area for some birth control technologies where eggs can be fertilized (a conceptus formed) but not be able to be implanted in an endometrial lining. The hormone based "morning after pill" and some IUDs work this way.
The gray area exists because strictly speaking some birth control technqiues are not contraception because these techniques don't prevent conception, but they do, strictly speaking, prevent pregnancy.
Either way, I'm for a woman's right to control her body.
