Eddie Izzard says "Vote for Obama!"
Just got back from his show tonight, and he said it twice - at the very beginning of the show and during his encore.

He also wants Clinton to be the VP nominee - said he thought that would be the best ticket.

Great show!

1. Monkfish, I'm starting to come round to that opinion...
...I mean, what could it hurt to have her on the ticket? Seriously?

2. I've come around on that, too.
I was a Clinton supporter, and thought it was a bad choice at first, but I've changed changed completely on that. So many people want it, even people who never pay attention to politics.

3. So it's OK if the Vp appears in drag?
Should be that way anyway.

4. heheh
no drag for Eddie tonight. In fact, the ONLY time I've seen him in women's clothes was for that one special "Dress to Kill". I wonder if he's given it up.

12. He referred to not doing drag any more as being an 'off-duty transvestite'
If you watch the Riches, the youngest son often dresses in girls clothes and uses makeup, and I read that it's a reference to Eddie's transvestism.

5. I'm sorry I don't know who that is
Didn't he play 2nd base for the Yankees back in the mid-80's?

8. Odd. I saw him last week in Portland
and he made NO mention of Hillary at all. He was really pushing Obama and the new i-phone, however.

Where did you see him?

14. The Orpheum theater in San Francisco
But only one brief passing reference to an iPhone - I guess he changes it up.

9. I love Eddie Izzard...
...my sister did read somewhere (or saw an interview) that he has given up the drag.

How was he? I saw him live a few years ago and he wasn't a great as I expected him to be. Of course I was really tired and my expectations were probably too high - but he seemed to fall flat.
