By adopting Obama's Policies, Dirtbag Bush is attempting to salvage what little legacy he has left
Edited on Sun Jul-20-08 11:07 AM by JackORoses
Everyone knows it.
The Press know it.
Maliki knows it. Karzai knows it.
Bush knows it, too.
Barack Obama will be the next President of the United States.

George Bush is now desperately afraid that his administration (and him personally because you know he is a vain bastard) will go down in history as a "complete failure" in the words of Nancy Pelosi. They have achieved nothing in the past 7 years and now realize they will not be able to accomplish anything real in the time they have left.
They know Obama's coming, and what he will likely do once in office.
They know he will likely succeed.

So what do they do?
They adopt his plans preemptively in an attempt to capture some of the glory for themselves and potentially diminish Obama in the process. It is their hope that all these potential successes of Obama e.g. Withdrawal fom Iraq, Successful Negotiations with Iran, Refocusing efforts in Afghanistan will be recorded in the history books with the caveat "started during the Bush Administration".

Shameless, yes. But at least it cripples McAnus.

1. Any day now, I expect Bush to build another t-ball field on the
White House lawn.

So far as I can tell, that's the only positive accomplishment he's had in 8 years.

little ballcaps.

And that's it for the positive side of the Bush legacy.

the architecture of Dubya's presidential library should be in the shape of a giant coffin.

9. None of the above.
bu$h always takes advantage of the short memory/attention span of the average American by moving to the center before every election. Always. From now till the election he will come across as a centralist in words.
This is a Karl Rove strategy and has worked well for bu$h for two elections for governor and two elections for pResident.

Their ends justify the means and their ends may not reflect our reality.

11. The *only* way he can save his legacy is by saving the Earth from an impending asteroid by flying up
and punching said asteroid with his bare fist back into orbit.
