So says I.

Apart from the jealous Cable newsreaders,
the Bush Admin,
The McCain Campaign,
a couple of "stick in the butt" reporters,
and a couple of posters here at DU,

It appears that thus far the trip is going very well. :)

:hi:

1. Don't pay attention to the naysayers ...
Edited on Sun Jul-20-08 11:07 PM by NanceGreggs
... they're just in shock over the idea that our presumptive POTUS isn't making an ass of himself - something too many people have gotten so used to over the last eight years, they've come to believe it's the way things are meant to be done.

"Oh, my God! The man is speaking in coherent sentences, and is actually SAYING something worth listening to! Whatever can this MEAN?!?"

You get the idea ...

2. You're right! Guess it is shocking after 7 years of mispeaks and mis-steps, and all.

3. Yeah, after eight years of a Republican administration ...
... people actually get suspicious when someone isn't willing to lie through his teeth, and act like a fuckin' buffoon while he's doing it.

A change is gonna come, my friend - and won't THAT be great!?!

5. Patience, my dear friend ...
... what's going to happen is well worth the wait.

Forgive me if I don't have the reference right, because I'm going from memory here. But I think it's a line from the movie 2010:

"Something's gonna happen."

"What is it?"

"Something wonderful."
