Clinton being officially vetted?
I had the sound on my TV muted, but I saw a news report flash on MSNBC in which NYT reported that Hillary Clinton was *officially* being vetted for VP.

Can anyone confirm this or provide an article? I could find nothing on the NYT website.

Exciting news if true.

1. According to someone on Kos
MSNBC is guessing that it's between Clinton and Biden. No idea if that's true or not.

2. How many people has MSNBC said were the "one"?
We will know when Obama announces it.

6. Funny coincidence. It matches the MSNBC results
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24764369/

Somehow I am not surprised that MSNBC is saying that. BTW, Biden won.

Edited on Mon Jul-21-08 09:42 AM by woodsprite
was talking about this a.m. It's been a nice 2 wks here because he's been away. He must go someplace where he get's his bitch battery recharged because he's in rare form this a.m. He was saying something about the Clinton's were probably hiring someone to take care of Obama and she'd accept the Dem nomination at the convention.

He went on saying that "Obama has a terrible voting record for the average American and he's a socialist commie liberal. It all sounds good, but every single person has to be a saint to make that system work". I SOOOOO wanted to say "I'd rather be a saint than a crook - which is what you have to be to make the Repub system work".

But I didn't - I was a good girl. I went to our suggestion box and said that I thought the next time we play musical cubbies, that they arrange seating based on political affiliation. Then I put on my earphones, cranked up the volume and brought up DU.

Sorry for my rant, but I swear my BP went up 30 points. I can't wait until the Obama buttons I ordered from MoveOn arrive ;)

7. Wouldn't it be awfully embarrassing if they vetted Hillary and she
failed to pass because of all the FOB?

8. Exciting news for some, but certainly not for all.
For those who live in a black and white world--just because you do not want to see Hillary as the VP choice does it mean that you hate her.

9. Obama said the news would come directly from him, and that until that happened,
any other "news" about the process was just a rumor.

So, this is just another rumor.

Barack will make the announcement when the time comes, and I'll bet it won't be too long.

12. Yes, very good news -- a unity ticket is our best chance of beating McCain.

11. If he is going to choose someone that has been in Washington a long
time then I hope it is Biden. He probably needs to choose a governor though. Only time will tell. I won't believe a thing until I hear directly from the Obama campaign.

15. No one wants to take Obama at his word when he said
The next time his campaign would have anything to say about VP, it would be when they made the decision...

16. I take him at his word, of course ...
but it seems that vetting procedures can be verified from those outside the Obama campaign.
