17. Nope.
I gave him wide berth because he was tortured and stood up to the bush* administration to oppose torture--until he sought his party's nomination. The fact that McCain reversed on such a huge issue that not many Americans have been subjected to because he seeks power, I would not shed a tear for him if he found himself in similar circumstances again.

I would be sorry for him, if he or his family were physically ill or something similar happened. I have zero pity for anything else.

5. It's easy to pity him now...
What an out-of-control ego he must have, or a desperate need to prove himself ~ or some other driving pathology!

The man has NO VISION, NO IDEAS, NO EMPATHY for his fellow Americans ~ WTF is he running for???

Much as it was not my intention to inject a serious note into this thread,
for that alone, women should be avoiding him like the plague.

14. I pity how the GOP will treat him after he loses the election...
Talk about your pariahs.

They don't like him already, and are just pretending to in order to beat Obama.

But if and when Obama defeats him, they'll tear his skin off.

15. i pity him
when he does things that makes him look like he has dementia - reminds me too much of when my gramps' (the best man i've ever known) alzheimer's was obvious. that said, if he won the election, my pity stick would be very short.

I had a conversation with my dad about McCain's time as a POW. My dad stated that just because McCain was a POW and endured pain and suffering - doesn't mean he is a good person.

29. Back when he was a POW.
Since then, perhaps, as he has had to deal with PTSD and the most horrible spectacle of all: watching himself sell off little bits of his soul to the highest bidders. If there's still a conscience in there, or if there ever was one, it is/was in agony.

The pic meant never having to say you're sorry..........

(sort of a catchy phrase--I should use it in a book or something)

38. Maybe if he fell off the podium into the crowd like Bob Dole did
when he was supposed to address an audience in Chico, California in the 1996 election. I felt bad for Bob Dole when that happened, although I have to admit that I laughed a lot, too.
