Has Hell frozen over?
Democrat presidential candidate Barack Obama and the Iraqi government found agreement in Baghdad on Monday for a 2010 withdrawal of U.S. combat forces, a timeline that has faced withering criticism from Republican Sen. John McCain.

FOX NEWS

Unless the new mantra is "We can't trust the Iraqis to do what's right", I don't see how they rescue this situation.

1. Well, thing is, Our Awesome Liberal Media refuses to report it.
This is one of the biggest developments in the entire campaign; it's earth-shattering, when you really think about it. But it doesn't fit into the media's obsession with minutia and "the horse race."

And this is an interesting piece from Greg Sargent over at TPM:

2. The desperation play here will be to imply that Obama is in collusion with "fellow muslims".
A laughable enough claim, but when you have nothing else...

4. It would be a simple matter to just have commentators and op-ed writers and
all other such folk on the other side of the aisle to start referring to them as The Republic Party, wouldn't it?

When has that not been the mantra? Sure they don't use it as a talking point but according to them this war was supposed to bring "American Style Democracy" to the middle east. Whether they wanted it or not.

11. "Writing on the...
...wall." Fox's problem never was that they didn't see reality...only that they reported as ordered. The high probability of an Obama administration is their new reality. They aren't blind.
