3. Can you please change the title?
Sorry, but I thought Obama actually said that, which would have been pretty arrogant. Great pics, but I think you may have unintentionally played into the GOP "Obama is arrogant" meme (as if anyone who has the audacity to run for president is not arrogant).

There's not a damned thing wrong with being cool, and making things look good. The nutters over at Michelle Malkin can cry all night about it, if they want to. ;-)

23. Great Title and a little ironic
Will Smith has said that he would like to play Obama on the screen. They have similar physiques and they both have big ears.

Obama does make that look good and Will would do him justice if he portrayed him in a film. :)

24. That's how I felt also. And you put the comment in quotes and after a colon.
Edited on Mon Jul-21-08 02:18 PM by Overseas
My first thought was-- "I sure hope Obama didn't say that." Then I was relieved but sad to see that indeed Obama didn't say that. It was a line from a great movie. But why would the writer put those words in quotes after Obama's name in the headline as though he had said them.

The writer just put those words in his mouth. Why would they do that? Why would they want to make him sound arrogant? Why on earth couldn't they say HE MAKES IT LOOK GOOD ?

52. Saw the movie long ago. Didn't memorize the lines. Why not just have the quote without "Obama:"
Edited on Tue Jul-22-08 10:30 AM by Overseas
You want me to watch movies more than once or twice. I want you to study grammar.
Famous people can quote from movies and it still means-- Barack Obama says (as Will Smith said in Men in Black)QUOTE I make this look good. END QUOTE.

Even if it is a movie quote, you made it look like Barack Obama quoted the movie about himself.

At minimum it means, Overseas quoted that awful movie Titanic.
Further it means, Overseas sounds arrogant.

But I'd better stop replying because by responding like this I'm keeping a topic going that I don't like.

5. Fantastic photos. A glimpse of what Obama will look like as President.
To Americans and the rest of the world, Obama's trip and the photos of it are heavily symbolic. McCain only wishes he can top it.

I didn't even mention he got Maliki to agree to troops out in 2010! :woohoo:

maybe I haven't looked closely at when McCain and other supporters of this never ending occupation go there, but the pics I've seen of leaders & other mucky mucks are smiling - even Ryan Crocker.

His reception by Iraqis and the US military are simply cratering the GOP memes on Iraq.

like obama in sunglasses vs mccain in sunglasses. mccain looks like he's blind old man, obama looks cool. obama looks more at ease as well. it is interesting how he is without flak jacket as someone else stated.

41. badgerpup on body language again...
Look at the fifth pic...Obama's pose is saying "I'm listening to you. You are important and have my full attention."
The other guy's pose is very relaxed, open, comfortable and at ease.

Contrast it with so many pics of Der Chimpenfuhrer (I has teh dumb and don't know how to post pics) with other leaders...our "Special Boy" is usually either sprawled in his chair or reaching toward the other person, while the other person's body language (and facial expression) is tight, closed, and turned away from him.

Bit of a difference here, wouldn't you say?
