McCain is losing his cool live on TV
He was talking at a picnic in Maine and then angrily said there was this ad about General Petreaus on NYT last year by Moveon.Org and that Sen Obama refused to vote on a resolution condemning that ad!

Fox News cut away from McCain's picnic rally and they began to repeat the story that NYT would not publish McCain's essay. They sound so pissed.

Just for McCain's eyes:

Bottom Line: Shut the fuck up McCain

1. Great pic -- where did it come from?
And that IS Patraeus between Obama and Hagel, right? It occurs to me that I never saw him smile during the SFRC hearings, so this is a new look for me. :7

5. That picture is from CNN and it was taken this morning
Petreaus and Obama smiling together has made McCain lose his freaking mind. He was looking so desperate trying to bring that old story up.

I am sure Petreaus would have told him to shut up if he was there.

11. I don't think that's Petraeus.
He's wearing an Army Rangers patch and Petraeus is a Marine.

He accompanied Obama on a helicopter from the airport to the greenzone today, before Barack met with Maliki.

8. the right wingers have been trying to use that trick on both Obama and Clinton forever
McCain actually said this? Good news! He is really desperate and clinging to the bottom of the barrel now!

On the April 9 edition of MSNBC's Morning Joe, author and Fox News contributor Bernard Goldberg falsely claimed that Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama "didn't condemn" MoveOn.org's 2007 newspaper advertisement, which criticized Gen. David Petraeus and referred to him as "General Betray Us." Goldberg stated: "hether you're a Democrat or Republican, liberal or conservative, you just don't -- you don't take out a full-page ad in The New York Times and refer to a man who's dedicated his life to his country as 'General Betray Us.' But two people didn't, didn't condemn the ad: Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama -- who not only want to be president, but commander in chief." In fact, both Clinton and Obama voted for an amendment offered by Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) that condemned the ad, among other attacks on past and present members of the armed forces.

The Boxer amendment "strongly condemn attacks on the honor, integrity, and patriotism of any individual who is serving or has served honorably in the United States Armed Forces, by any person or organization." Of the MoveOn.org ad it stated: "On September 10, 2007, an advertisement in the New York Times was an unwarranted personal attack on General Petraeus, who is honorably leading our Armed Forces in Iraq and carrying out the mission assigned to him by the President of the United States" It also criticized Republican-backed attacks on Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) concerning his military service, as well as attacks on former Sen. Max Cleland (D-GA), a veteran.

There was no other reason for him to bring up the Moveon ad and Obama's response to it.

20. heh...McCain reminds me of that little Teapot song!
"When I get all steamed up, then I shout...tip me over, and pour me out!"

and in the mean time, more glowing reviews from Obama's trip to Iraq! Just saw on MSNBC that Vice President Tariq al-Hashimi called Obama "precise" and "specific" in their meeting that just took place, and praised him for being aware of issues in Iraq.

9. Make no mistake about it ... McCain will lose it on national TV
The guy is a walking powder keg ready to go off at any time. Soon, his people won't be able to save him from getting caught in one of his infamous angry tirades.

Once this happens, McCain's ship will sink fast.

29. Welcome to DU!!!
You're so right.... man, it was only a year or so ago that I kept saying, "The best thing that could ever happen to the eventual Dem Nominee is if the GOP is dumb enough to nominate McCain."

Sometimes, dreams really do come true!!! ;-)

If we're really lucky, the biggest meltdown will come smack-dab in the middle of a Presidential Debate being watched by 40 million voters. :-)

I remember seeing him being questioned in Congress & he had a look of relief when talking to Obama, like here is finally someone I can work with.
