1. That makes sense.
I mean Obama has only been in the Senate for a few years. McCain has been there for decades. I can see how Obama is the one to blame for not solving the problem.

7. No, not for teh series!!!11
It's ridiculous.

Mitch McConnell is doing something similar to his senatorial opponent in KY. He put up an add blaming him for hundreds of million in higher gas prices because of a vote for a gas tax he made over 30 years ago, and conveniently forgets that he himself has spent decades in the Senate fighting for the rights of big oil.

6. Let me guess, this bit comes next: "the ad will be broadcast in...
...the parallel universe in which Obama has been President for the past eight years, ruling with an iron fist over a Democratic senate & house for the majority of his tenure"

13. Well, we damn well better elect him, then.
Any one person powerful enough to have that kind of impact on the world economy certainly belongs in the WH.

That's just how dumb this line of attack is.

15. You just watch while the Republicans coopt this issue
They're already doing it- and the hapless Dems appear to be content to let them run with the narrative, as if ordinary Americans actually had clue one about energy issues.
