One of his best strengths is as a Midwestern candidate. I'd like to see him pick a running mate from the Midwest and make sure he flips IA, MO and OH while maintaining WI, MI and MN.

all those purple states could go either way on election day. An eight-point lead in Ohio is hard to beat.

6. That's a great poll
It's very possible Ohio will tilt several points more Democratic than the nation. If so, we're in wing-ding shape.

I've been thinking Ohio will be maybe 1 point blue compared to the nation itself, but based on '06 I may be underestimating things.
