Novak is breaking that McCain will anounce his VP this week.
http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=27630
Sources close to Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign are suggesting he will reveal the name of his vice presidential selection this week while Sen. Barack Obama is getting the headlines on his foreign trip. The name of McCain's running mate has not been disclosed, but Mitt Romney has led the speculation recently.

14. Yeah, it will be Romney. No core values; neocons approve of him.
He can raise money, and they fantasize winning Michigan. Most importantly, he will do the neocons' bidding right down the line, because if that's what it takes, that's what he'll give.

I'll be SO glad if this is true, though. Let him go first.

I took that as a sign that he was out of the running.

11. Huckabee would be a mixed bag
I would never in a zillion years vote for Huckabee but I kind of respect him as a person. Ironically, that's how I used to feel about McCain too. Huckabee could be an appealing choice who helps McSame sure up the base. On the other hand, given his previous statements cautioning against xenophobic attacks against Obama, he's probably not the best hatchet-man for McCain. And because McCain has an "above the fray" image to maintain (deserved or not), he really needs a VP willing to do the dirty work. So does Obama, for the same reasons.

I think she fits Susan Estrich's description of an "Ann." Does make you wonder why they look so similar. Coincidence?

with Down Syndrome.

It seems somehow unlikely that she would accept a national role so soon after that birth.

McSame and his druggie wife went to church (after calling the MSM and telling them to bring the cameras) for the first time in their lives last week.

Selecting Rudy wouldn't be good for "PANDERING PURPOSES" ....

28. Do I detect panic in McCain's campaign?
CW was that McCain was going to announce his VP the day after Obama's acceptance speech. If he announces this week, that means that Obama's trip has really put McCain in a tight spot.

37. It's his only hope if he wants to capture any air time away from
the Obama trip. I'm sure he was waiting for Obama to announce first because that might help him pick his VP, but now he's pretty much screwed. No one wants to hear him. No one wants to look at him. His only hope is picking his VP and that won't last long either. The European crowds for Obama will be the story, then Obama will come back and erase McBush from the screen with his own VP pick.
