MSNBC just asked former Dem.Rep.Tim Roemer why Obama just doesn't admit he was wrong about the surge not working. Roemer had a long winded reply, which was very well said... BUT....as usual the Democrats have missed a chance to knock that question down with a better counter question?.....Why didn't Roemer say...."Why doesn't McCain admit he was WRONG about being for the Iraq war from the beginning?"

2. He DID answer the question....I'm saying he had a BETTER
question he could have put forth, after he answered it...re McCain not admitting he was wrong about going to war against Iraq.

6. rarely true in Gotcha Media World
The corporate media are not having a polite and informed discourse on the issues of the day. They are instead playing !GOTCHA! a game mastered by the late Tim Russert. This game has nothing to do with polite and informed discourse, a fact that eludes many Democrats.

5. They've got to kill the meme that the "surge" worked.
It was meant to:

A) Reduce violence

B) Give the Iraqis the breathing space they needed to develop a political resolution to their conflict

and C) Eventually allow US troop levels to decrease

It has achieved NONE of those goals.
