I'm astounded at how incredibly weak and pathetic McCain is..
here it is only July and he's already crashing and burning. No cohesive strategy or message, just desperate attempts to stay relevant.

The only trick they had left up their sleeve was to wait and name a V.P. after Obama, and now they are so flustered, they've already let the cat out of the bag that it's already a done deal...

I knew McCain was a weak choice for the GOOPers but honestly I had no idea he would be this bad. The only thing I can think of that would explain it is that they honestly thought they'd be running against the Clintons and now they don't have a Plan B.

1. I'm not. Anyone who would grovel at the feet of someone like
* is a coward and morally bankrupt. Anyone who would let * get by with a smear campaign using his adolescent daughter is lower than whale doo, IMHO. McCain thinks this is owed him. He would crawl through fire on molten glass for it. That doesn't take strength or courage, just craven stupidity.

2. They don't know how to hit Obama.
Just as Hillary wasn't effective in attacking Obama in the Primaries. They are repeating her mistakes. Obama keeps them on the defensive by forcing them to make attempts at an offense. He continues to play it cool, confident and collected.

He wins by acting like a winner, and leaves his opponent scratching their heads.

Plus, mcLame is on the wrong side of every issue. He is on chimpy's side. And, the American People are on the other.

3. I was always astounded at how incredibly weak and pathetic Bu**sh** was ...
but Diebold and the Supremes put him in office.

We can't let our guard down, and certainly cannot afford overconfidence.

5. Bush ran a rather strong campaign in 2000 I think...
it was all based on lies and bullshit of course, but it worked.

In 2004, they had the swifties and 9/11 on their side, and Kerry didn't run a particularly strong campaign.

6. I won't count my eggs...new poll out today gives him 10-pt lead in OH and neck and neck in MI
I think he will ultimately lose, but I'm surprised at how he can be doing that well in those states.

8. I saw the Michigan poll..
it was done by some Detroit news station? Another poll has Obama up by 7. I haven't see the Ohio poll. That would be pretty surprising.

7. McCain is the beloved "older child"..
Edited on Tue Jul-22-08 04:25 PM by SoCalDem
The one who's been fawned over and idolized....as the only child (Media-Mccain lovefest)...and then suddenly, the family has a NEW baby..and everyone can't get enough of the baby, and now no one thinks that older child is all that cute anymore..

Tap-dancing on the coffee table and singing "Good Ship Lollipop", just is not that "cute" from a bratty 8 yr old, when there's a sweet little newborn to cuddle

13. I'm counting down until Karl Rove steps in and starts running the campaign.
Not just the behind-the-scenes crap, mind you...he's already doing that--but full-on, balls-out running everything.
