Barack to the airport himself. Out of respect. Who needed you? Barack's got friends over there, they took care of him. Thanks anyway....LOL.

27. I sent my son this thread and he posted the following back...LOL
Hahhaha,,,,,,that's great. I wonder what the conversation on the way to airport was??'

King: Not for nothing Senator Obama, but your Whitehouse is full of dickheads.

Obama: Not for long your highness, not for long.

2. WOW! That's AMAZING!
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree -- King Hussein was a good
man and I'm glad he taught HIS son some manners (unlike some OTHER
"famous" sons we all know and despise).

7. Unfortunately, even this will play into the hands of the neo-cons
I can already hear O`Lielly and Limpballs saying, "Obama is such GOOD FRIENDS with the Muslim power elite that the King of Jordan himself DROVE him to the airport, in his own car, away from any US Secret Service agents who my overhear them plotting to make the US a Muslim theocracy."

14. Jordan is the most democratic and secular gov in the mideast
although Turkey is a democracy. As a female I lived there for a summer and I can attest to it. King Abdullah like his father is a moderate, practical and sensible. Jordan is sure as hell not a theocracy.

16. Unlike before McCain traveled abroad, she sent a memo...
...days before Obama's trip, to US overseas staff telling them not to be helpful to visiting US Senators -- if they want a ride, point them to a transportation service, and that sort of thing.

I went on a rant about this and other stuff earlier today:

I bet she was only following orders. Just doing her job. What is she supposed to do. Why isn't anyone blaming Bush or Cheney when it's obvious this wasn't her decision alone?

38. She's the fucking Secretary of State not a lowly civil servant
If she were then I might buy the "just following orders" excuse. I'm sure she was fully consulted about this and probably agreed to it willingly. She's just as much of a neo-con as the rest of them and I'm sure she wants to see McGramps win. Saying she's not responsible is like saying Alberto Gonzales wasn't responsible for Karl Rove's politicization of the Justice Department.

24. Nobody likes Bush and nobody respects him nor his cabinet
This is giving him the finger in no uncertain terms too. The rest of the world probably wants to like us again and that simply won't happen as long as we have war mongers running our country. Obama is a breath of fresh air for outside countries as well as our own. Bush can shut the fuck up, it's still a free country even if he would prefer dictating what people do.

she's responding to the monied & controlling interest of America. They will use the government which they own, to push as hard as they want for a McCain presidency. They will interfere with the election.

36. let me get this straight.
McCain, a GOP senator, touring IraqNam with thousands of troops, armor, choppers and special forces, while running a close race for the GOP nomination is NOT political. Yet, A democratic senator touring IraqNam is involved in a political event which precludes the EMBASSY from helping the probable next president of our country.

Geez, that is so smart.

Thanks to the king for offering to drive. Taxi service is so iffy these days over there.
