OMG! OBAMA HAS CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS!!!111!! |
|
The media is flabbergasted that Obama won't simply rubberstamp and agree to everything the Generals on the ground say. They are stunned that he essentially said that the CIC as president has a bigger job than a General on the ground and that the president has to use analytical skills to weigh each decision in Iraq against other competing interests he is responsible for.
OMG!!!1111!!!
They are shocked that a president can actually have more than one thing on the brains and can chew gum and walk at the same time!!!11!!
They are stunned that Obama will take into account domestic considerations and other threats around the world while formulating strategy and goals for Iraq!!!11!!
OMG. Obama is NOT HUMAN? What is he, some kind of android? Some kind of machine? Some kind of critical thinker???
How dare he not be a moran!11!

3. Bush never listened to the generals unless they agreed with him. |
|
Why didn't the media say anything then?

Mrs. Greenspan called it "fascinating," and Tweety acted like it was shocking, that Obama seems to think the Commander in Chief sets the mission and the generals carry it out. They're trying to make it some adversarial struggle between Obama and Petraeus, which is ridiculous! (And, I think they're working on pushing a perspective that Obama is "arrogant," which is infuriating.)
