MCain saying Obama would rather lose a war than lose an election is OUTRAGEOUS. |
|
Klein and Gergen talking about it on Anderson Cooper just now.
While we are all talking about McCain's gaffe on who and when the awakening started in Iraq, we are letting him get away with saying Obama wants to lose a war.
Klein just said he has NEVER heard anything like this in the 9 elections he has covered. I agree. Sometimes surrogates say horrid things about the opposition but for McCain himself to say it deserves outrage.
Where's our fast response team Obama?

1. Joe Klein called it the "most scurrilous" charge he's heard from a candidate in the 9 elections he's |

2. McCain probably thinks The New Yorker's cover on Obama was for real |

This is like calling Obama an Al-Qaeda agent!

1) If ending the war is the same as losing it, doesn't that mean it can't end without being lost?
and...
2) If Obama would rather end the war than lose the election, then it stands to reason that McCain would rather continue the war than win the election.
Either way it just doesn't make any fucking sense. Desperation has obviously set in...

6. I get the impression that McCain has no idea what he is saying |
|
almost 100% of the time. He contradicts himself on consecutive days, proudly displays his ignorance like it is a badge of honor and insults people just in passing. In short, I think someone is telling him what to say and he says it almost unconsciously

7. I guess they should respond. I just figured the comment was so desperately ridiculous |
|
that it didn't warrant a response.
But I guess that's the same thing KerryCo thought in '04.

Republicans from coast to coast tonight are shaking their heads and thinking 1/3 of the Senate and all of the U.S. House must run on the ticket with this guy.
I still predict.....McCain will NOT be the nominee.
