1. If we act like we've won we won't win. We need to canvass and volunteer etc.

9. I have suspected he may not be on the ballot. But at the risk of disenfranching
millions of Repubs, I think it would be ludicrous to do that and the Repubs might still lsoe because of it.

6. your mistake is that you think McSame is the enemy
If I remember correctly, bush had the appearance of a total moron loser too. Still does. They are both just puppets. The real enemy is the corporate banking cabal. Their power has grown enormously during these last 8 years. They run the show for the RW with their billions and trillions. That stand to lose so much money and power that they are very motivated. Haven't we already seen what they are capable of? The media is bought and paid for. Rove and Cheney are only operatives. Why do you think that Rove believes he is untouchable?

The level of smear coming soon will be unprecedented. The attempts at election manipulation will be unprecedented. To think that this is over is dangerous. To underestimate the exploitation of the race factor is naive. Ignore the polls. Don't get comfortable until Nov. 5th.

7. The same way we lost in 1980, 1988, and 2000 to candidates who were worse.
Reagan was freaking racist moran and won, Bush was qualified but was considered a wimpy lapdog of a joke who was trailing by 17% in the polls, and won. You remember 2000?

For that matter, go to 1992. HW Bush was coming off a 90% approval rating, and Bill Clinton was in third place behind Bush and Ross Perot. The media was arguing over whether the Democratic Party had collapsed like the Whigs.

We will win. But we can lose.

11. The only way we loose is to be overconfident.

The reptiles are no where close to exhausting their bag if lies, and dirty tricks. We need to keep working as hard as ever.

13. I thought there was no way we could lose in 2000 or 2004
I WISHED they'd nominate Bush in 2000 - I believed he was so obviously an idiot that there was no way he could win - or even come close enough to call it into doubt.

But then, I thought that about Reagan.

Don't get cocky.

18. The media, especially the TV media.
Unfortunately, George Stephanopolous, Anderson Cooper, Andrea Mitchell and the rest of the right-wing goons have a lot of influence over average Americans who get all their news from the tv.
