Franklin Delano Roosevelt was president when I born, e.g., I've been through a few. Twelve to be precise.

John McCain, based on his weak résumé, and his gaffes, gaffes that grow exponentially by the day, it boggles my mind how he's even in contention. He has to be the most unintelligent candidate in my lifetime. Comparatively speaking, Dan Quayle is a genius.

In trying to analyze why McCain should not even be remotely in contention, how he could even be leading in any one state, I've copied and pasted some suggestions. This was to save these tired old digits from further typing. Before I do that, unless we are a nation of ignoramuses, Barack Obama will be the 44th President of the United States.

And now the analysis. How might McCain be leading in any demographic poll? And better yet, why he shouldn't be.

of the twelve presidents that I've lived through I would consider Bill Clinton the most intelligent, the better educated. Obama will be on a par. The difference? They also have a personality. And, like John F. Kennedy, charismatic.

However we, the intelligentsia, can be prone to accomplishing dumb deeds.
