The media keeps trying to sell a neck&neck squeaker to the public. |
|
I just don't believe that it will be anything less than a landslide in victory for Obama in the end. There is no way that this election will be a squeaker unless someone cheats. I want us to continue to explode the labels that have become associated with this party and the process. We need establish new language and very different expectations for governance and political players in the next few months.

4. Yeah this focus on the "close race" is ridiculous. |
|
I don't believe these national numbers for a minute. The media is doing all they can to normalize the race so that it's another squeaker.

6. I totally agree - It started with Florida in 2000 |
|
The it's neck and neck and up to one state - in 2004 it was Ohio. They are trying to play that game so that McCain and the RNC can focus their resources I think. The RNC does not like the 50 state strategy.
That is what I think. And I agree I will not play into it - although I am working harder than ever to help make it happen - I don't take anything for granted.

7. Skidmore, I have to disagree |

1. Even though we've come a long, long way as a nation since the 80's, some "Bradley Factor" does need to be put into these poll results. 2. The battleground swing states are all close 3. We're not even to the conventions
I'll agree that it's Obama's election to lose, and that nobody is getting "excited" over McSame. That said, my understanding of GOP strategy this time out is to concede that the congressional and senate races are pretty much a lost cause, and to focus the bulk of resources on trying to elect a Republican President to stop the Democratic Congress and to continue stacking the SCOTUS.
