I can't quite wrap my mind around the image of McCain and Obama debating |
|
McCain was so ghastly in the repuke debates- smirky, irritatable, nasty, and Obama improved so much during the dem primary debates, that I can't see it as anything but a McCain debacle no matter how hard the MSM tries to skew it for him. The thought of the two of them on the same stage, side by side, fills me with glee.

1. They were unable to spin a Bush win out of any of the Bush/Kerry debates |
|
because he was so awful, but damn 'em if they didn't try.
They'll do their damndest to turn all three debates into McCain victories, so it's up to people to actually watch it and judge for themselves.

2. Don't worry, McCain will be wired. If not he will flub up so badly. Because |
|
his facts are all wrong he'll just say all the wrong things. Of course the press will declare him the winner.

5. When they're prepping Obama for the debate... |
|
... I hope they encourage him to correct McCain's gaffes early and often. In a gentle, "awww, that's ok, gramps" kind of way. It'll be a nice contrast. :-)

a stark contrast in images. I think that Senator McCain is growing tired as the contest progresses. By the time of the debates, the true essence of his personality -- confused, hostile, and bitter -- will be on display on the stage for all to see.

4. I have this recurring image in my head of McCain just totally losing it in the debates. |
|
Like, his inner cranky grandpa really comes out, and he just explodes. Or he repeats that goofy "That's not change you can believe in!" smile like the night he tried to "upstage" Obama's victory in the Dem Primaries.
It occurs to me that the main reason the Obama Camp put the "ixnay" on McCain's proposed Joint Town Halls is they know the image of Obama and McCain side-by-side is their ace in the hole, and they wanted to save that shocking moment for when it really matters: The Presidential Debates, watched by 50 Million Americans.
Late September cannot get here fast enough.

And the Drive By Media will frantically splice together some narrative to 'splain us why McCaint triumphed despite the massive odds against him. (war hero) (911) (warnterra) (obamablackmuslimcrazypreacher)

|
and the idiotic people still voted for Bush. Yet now they complain about what a mess this country is in.Ughhhhhhhhh.....If the stupid people vote for McCain over Obama I will be pissed.

10. Bush was a sitting president. Don't ever underestimate the power and |
|
symbolic nature of that. In addition, much as I like and admire Kerry, he doesn't have the political skills that Obama has. Furthermore, McCain is even weaker image wise than Bush.

9. It will be over before the first debate ends |
|
McCain will self destruct and totally horrify the electorate. Obama and the Dems will win in a massive landslide after McCain self destructs during the first debate. Game over.

11. Picture a really old, worn out, grumpy Howdy Doody puppet arguing with Einstein. |
|
Seriously, unless McCain tries to throw a punch at him, I may fall asleep listening to McCain lie his ass off about "winning wars", "supporting the troops", "supporting the veterans", "creating jobs", blah, blah, blah, blah!
I've heard his spiel all before - from Bush!!
