"Dear Friend and Fellow Republican????" |
|
Starts a note in a mail addressed to me from John McCain.
Well, not exactly addressed to me. My name is misspelled which, I hope, explains, how, after contributing to four Democratic Presidential candidates I got this one.
My initial reaction was going to, of course, toss it.
Then, to send it back saying I AM NOT A FELLOW REPUBLICAN
But then, I realized that I am "invited" to fill a Critical Issue Survey and to mail in in paid envelope (with a comment that posting my own stamp would help them, yeah, right).
Here are a few examples:
Do you believe it is critical that our candidates stand behind a hard-charging conservative message of smaller government, lower taxes, new jobs and strong national defense?
Hell NO
Should the VICTORY 2008 program be focused on turning out the Republican vote and registering 2 million new Republican voters?
HELL, NO
Are you concerned about the vast sums of campaign funds being stockpiled by the Democrats and their liberal allies?
HELL NO, and NO.
Should we appoint judges who will interpret the law instead of liberal acitivists who will make new laws from the bench?
HELL NO, NO, NO.
And so it goes.
Upon further glancing, I am going to vote YES on:
Should "pork barrel" spending be completely eliminated?

1. Excellent! Destabilize the enemy. ALWAYS. At EVERY possible opportunity. |
|
NEVER let a chance like this go by! EVER.
Anything that can fuck up their works a little is a good thing. A VERY good thing. Even if it appears small.

From Ohio Repiglicans. Telling me just how "good" John McCain would be for Ohio.
I wrote back that "I don't live in Ohio anymore thanks to the glorious Republican economy which seem to revolve around the same rules that don't work in my favor but you tout as incredibly superior." followed that up with "thanks to the current administration I will never even consider voting Republican ever again" and concluded with something along the lines of "eat sh*t and die."
I should have pointed out that maybe all their emails should go to folks who have addresses that end in @aol.com.
A good time was had by all.

3. My father-in-law gets these all the time. |
|
He's never, ever been a Republican. He is, however, extremely wealthy, which I assume is why they think he's a Republican.

5. We are not extremely wealth. Not even simple wealthy |
|
Like most, we are middle class living from paycheck to paycheck (but do contribute to 401K).
We do subscribe to the WSJ, however the name on the subscription is different.
Go figure.
