They'll claim that it is an underwhelming lead and "WHY DIDN'T HE GET A BUMP FROM HIS TRIP. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS GUY??", even though the poll was probably conducted last week or something...

5. McCain by 2! We are being lied to constantly - I expect nothing less. |

It's in the MSM's best interest to make this race *appear* as close as possible.

Obama dipped in the polls prior to his trip...but the trip won't take full effect in the polls until Friday. If Obama led by 6 in the last poll and he lost some support recently, he probably is now at +2-3 would be my guess. Maybe +4.
If it's better than 6, I'll be surprised...happy, but surprised.

7. Well, the early leak... |
|
...was on the timetable question. Good idea (the yay Obama option) was running 60%. Bad idea was 30%.
No way to extrapolate with certainty from there to the general head to head numbers, but they're not exactly a good sign for McCain considering Iraq is the one campaign issue he's supposed to have a fighting chance on. If people are finally starting to wake up on that score it's over.
